One of the most common mistakes a new doula can make is treating their doula business like a traditional business. Advertising, marketing and promoting your business in the traditional ways can end up delaying your success in your doula career. In Micah’s mentorship, she covers why these traditional techniques are not as effective in our unique, service industry. She gives away all of what she did to build her brand and remain relative in her local area for years.

This is a continuation of what it means to be mentored and what Micah’s Mentorship entails. This week Micah stresses the importance of truly representing who you are and what you bring to the table for your local area. If you’re not confident, then you won’t be attracting the right clientele for your services.
