Student loan forgiveness, Utah institutions face budget cuts

Things are moving in education on a national and local level. On Thursday the Biden Administration approved $4.5 billion in relief to help teachers, firefighters and other service workers that have been paying off their debt for over 10 years. US strikes underground weapons in Yemen/Israel confirms death of Hamas Leader in Gaza

The United States has attacked five military sites controlled by Houthi forces in Yemen by using B-2 bombers for precision strikes against weapons storage locations. Boyd Matheson, host of Inside Sources talks with Dave about what the US is doing in Yemen and the impact it has on the rest of the region. D News: Utah food tax survives near death experience 

Two amendments listed on this year's ballot are not really there, one of them includes Amendment A. The amendment would have removed the earmark that gave all Utah income tax collections to public and higher education, but it ALSO said a yes vote meant “state statute will eliminate the state sales tax on food.” As this amendment is now void  on the ballot, Dave speaks with Jay Evensen, Opinion Editor of the Deseret News about what this means for the future of the food tax.
