Two men are dead after a plane crashed near Aniak Tuesday, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

Dense fog and risky landing conditions played a major role in the crash of a chartered plane that left all eight onboard dead last month at a remote military radar site in western Alaska.

As Fairbanks enters the first day of a four-day flood watch, rain is still coming down but wind speeds are picking up as well. The combination is a concern for the Fairbanks North Star Borough Director of Emergency Operations.
