Through vivid biblical illustrations—from Moses striking the rock to the prodigal son—Pastor Mo reframes the gospel as grace-first intimacy. God’s love isn’t increased by your output, and obedience flows from identity, not insecurity. He warns against “professional intimacy” with God—doing all the right things while keeping the heart distant—and calls the church back to childlike trust, quick obedience, and living for an audience of One.

On this episode of the CityLight Podcast, Pastor Bo delivers a timely and countercultural word for 2026: faith doesn’t hustle—it rests. Drawing from a moment of worship in Belize sparked by Jason Upton’s “Jacob’s Dream,” Pastor Bo unpacks the story of Jacob as the blueprint for modern striving—until God breaks his self-sufficiency and teaches him to lean. Anchored in Psalm 127, this message reframes rest as active trust, where fruitfulness flows not from frantic effort but from peace-filled obedience. This episode calls us to make 2026 the year of choosing the “one thing”: sitting at Jesus’ feet and letting God put His super on our natural.

On this episode of the CityLight Podcast, we kick off 2026 with a powerful call to build a life that lasts. Preaching from Matthew 7, guest speaker Nathaniel Saint-Eloi reminds us that storms come to everyone—but only the life built on Jesus, the Rock, will stand. The message lays out three prophetic keys for the year ahead: don’t build on resolutions, build on revelation; don’t build on vibes, build on vision; and don’t build on fake news, build on the Good News. With scriptures from Matthew 16, Proverbs 29, Hebrews 11, and more, this sermon stirs faith, sharpens identity, and casts a vision for a life rooted in Christ. The episode ends with a beautiful moment of surrender, as many respond in prayer and salvation.

In this message, Pastor Bo reminds us that Christmas is about far more than presents—it’s about pursuing God’s presence. Sharing his salvation story from 1992 in a small, unimpressive church in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn, he shows that it isn’t polish, production, or appearances that change lives, but the undeniable presence of God. In a space marked by crackling sound systems and unremarkable surroundings, the anointing was real—and it transformed hearts, including his own father’s at an Easter altar call.
Drawing from Genesis 3:8, Pastor Bo teaches that God’s original desire was to walk with humanity, and that the greatest tragedy of the Fall was the loss of His presence. The greatest gift of salvation, then, is its restoration. The anointing does what no person can do, accelerating lives into God’s purpose. The invitation is simple and powerful: be baptized in the Holy Spirit, intentionally cultivate His presence, and live so close to God that you’re always one drop away from being overwhelmed by Him.
