WRAL's Mark Bergin and Pat Welter discussed UNC hosting No. 16 Virginia on Saturday.
Head coach Bill Belichick denied reports that the Tar Heels tried recruiting Virginia quarterback Chandler Morris, a transfer from North Texas.
The Tar Heels are 10.5-point underdogs against Virginia. They will need to stop Morris and running back J'Mari Taylor.
Bergin and Welter also shared their thoughts on three more UNC players leaving the program: Offensive lineman William Boone, pass rusher Pryce Yates and tight end Yasir Smith.
UNC would need to win four of its last six games to become bowl eligible.
The guys also previewed NC State's road game against Pittsburgh. The Wolfpack have lost three of their last four games. Bergin believes the Wolfpack should lean on running back Hollywood Smothers to regroup.
Bergin and Welter also discussed the possibility of UNC, NC State and Duke having a coaching vacancy in the offseason with Penn State firing James Franklin and Florida firing Billy Napier.
Welter also shared his observations from Duke basketball's exhibition against UCF. Duke freshman Cameron Boozer scored 33 points in the Blue Devils' win.
Last, Welter shared a story about showing up a day too soon for a UNC women's basketball media availability.
