The 2026 FIFA World Cup has reached the semifinal stage, with only four teams remaining in the competition. Spain became the first team to secure a place in the final after defeating France 2-0, ending France’s championship hopes and continuing Spain’s impressive tournament run. The other semifinal matchup features England and Argentina, two powerhouse nations competing for the final spot. England and Argentina are facing off today at 3:00 p.m. ET in Atlanta, GA. This marks their first World Cup meeting in over 20 years. The winner will face Spain in the World Cup final, while the loser will meet France in the third-place match. The championship match is scheduled for July 19, where Spain will await the winner of England versus Argentina.

The NFL unveils the rankings throughout the summer, revealing two players each weekday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET from June 22 through Aug. 21. Beginning Aug. 24, the countdown shifts to the Top 10, with one player announced each weekday at 10 a.m. ET through Sept. 4, when the No. 1 player is revealed.

The American League defeated the National League 4-0 in the 2026 MLB All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia last night. The American League's pitching staff was dominant throughout the game, combining for a three-hit shutout while striking out 15 National League batters. Last night's NBA Summer League action in Las Vegas featured several standout performances and impressive showings from young players. The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in the "Battle of Los Angeles,"the Houston Rockets rolled past the Philadelphia 76ers 90-64, the Denver Nuggets edged the Oklahoma City Thunder 106-103, the Chicago Bulls earned their first Summer League victory by defeating the Washington Wizards 99-87 and the Brooklyn Nets cruised to a 115-83 win over the Sacramento Kings. Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a thrilling three-hour and 46-minute match to defend his Gentlemen's Singles title at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships. With the victory, the Italian world No. 1 secured his second consecutive Wimbledon crown. For the women, Ninth seed Linda Nosková won the Ladies' Singles title, defeating her Czech compatriot. Karolína Muchová 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in an intense final on Centre Court. At 21 years old, Nosková became the youngest Wimbledon women's champion since Petra Kvitova in 2011.

Coco Gauff was eliminated in the Wimbledon semifinals after a heartbreaking loss to Karolína Muchová. Gauff rallied after dropping the first set and held a match point in the deciding 10-point tiebreak, but Muchová saved it and went on to win 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (12-10). The victory sends Muchová to her first Wimbledon final, while Gauff said afterward she had "no regrets" despite the missed opportunity. Is Coco Gauff the next star in women's tennis or is there someone else? Will we ever see another star like Serena Williams?

The Los Angeles Clippers and Toronto Raptors seemingly agreed to a deal that would send Leonard back to Toronto in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick and multiple future draft picks. However, the NBA has delayed final approval while it completes an investigation into allegations that the Clippers may have violated salary cap rules through Leonard's endorsement agreement with the now-defunct company Aspiration. The NBA informed the Raptors that if the trade were completed while the probe was active, Toronto would inherit the risk of any punishment resulting from the investigation (which could include voiding contracts, fines, or loss of draft picks). Will this trade happen?

Jaylen Brown was traded from the Boston Celtics to the Philadelphia 76ers on July 1, 2026 in a blockbuster trade, which became official on July 6. The trade sent Brown to Philadelphia in exchange for Paul George, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks, giving Boston more financial flexibility and additional assets to reshape its roster for the future. Celtics president Brad Stevens said recently in a press conference, that the team's decision to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers was driven by the need for greater salary cap flexibility rather than dissatisfaction with Brown as a player. Last night, there were 7 games on what was an entertaining opening night of NBA Summer League action in Las Vegas. No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa and the Washington Wizards edged No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson and the Utah Jazz, 92-88. Dybantsa finished with 27 points and seven rebounds in his professional debut, while Peterson finished with 24 points despite facing constant double teams and committing eight turnovers. The Warriors knocked off the Mavericks 101-90. Despite the loss, Mavericks rookie Morez Johnson Jr. turned heads with an impressive 27-point, eight-rebound performance. Tonight, we have Bulls vs. Grizzlies featuring top rookies Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson. Will you be watching?

With LeBron avoiding formal free-agent meetings, executives, coaches and even team owners are making their pitches through Paul, who then relays the messages to James as the league waits for the biggest decision of the offseason.

Today, there is a quarterfinal showdown between Spain and Belgium, with a trip to the semifinals on the line.

At Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic's had a dramatic five-set quarterfinal victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime that earned him a record 15th Wimbledon semifinal appearance, setting up another blockbuster showdown with World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Coco Gauff also lost in the semifinal.

There is no official unified "HBCU Super Conference" combining the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), as both Division I conferences continue to operate independently. While the concept of a super league has been a popular talking point among fans and analysts following high-profile expansions, a full merger remains highly unlikely due to logistical and financial challenges.
