Larry Pickett Sr. is a 2026 Salute To Champions Recipient! Larry Pickett Sr. is an American entrepreneur, community leader, former automotive executive, media producer and trainer originally from Queens and now based in Raleigh. Over the course of his career, he has founded and led multiple businesses, including Dealer Training Source, LLC, DTS Production Agency, Best Deals of NC, and Larry Pickett Photography. In the automotive industry, he earned national recognition, including being named one of Automotive News’ “Top 40 Under 40” executives in the U.S. and Canada, and he served on the National Dealer Council for TrueCar. Earlier in his career, Pickett worked as a television and radio host and producer, interviewing celebrities and creating syndicated content. He is also active in ministry and community service, serving as an elder at Word of God Fellowship Church alongside his wife, Shawnonne, with whom he shares three children. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he has been recognized for acts of bravery and community leadership.
