A Brief History of Mercedes AMG in F1 and the Sexy Sidepod

With no race on the F1 calendar this week and as the grid preps to head to Singapore for the end of the month, hosts Alex Kirry and Dan Jimenez are taking a few episodes to take a dive into some of the history around the F1 teams, drivers and a 101 course in Formula 1 racing that has brought us from 1950 to the present.  This week Alex talks about one of the most successful teams in F1 history, Mercedes AMG.  You may be surprised how this team is actually more of a newbie when compared to the history of other teams on the grid.  Dan then dives into the tech behind the sexy sidepod.  What is the function of the modern sidepod on these cars?  Red Bull has made their sidepods a key part of their design that has put them far above the other teams this season in terms of performance.
