Episode Description

Host: Adam Gardiner

The U.S. Senate passed two bills today aimed at protecting minors on social media. The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) and Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) 2.0 passed with broad bi-partisan support. The bills will give children, parents, and teachers more control over the kinds of things they see online, and work to hold social media companies accountable for harmful content. KSL at Night host Adam Gardiner digs into the details of the bills, and explains why Utah’s two Senators voted differently on the legislation.
