Episode Description

Andy Farnsworth joins KSL-TV to help audiences decipher #WhatToWatch for the weekend of January 26, 2024. “Masters of the Air” on Apple TV+ is an impressively immersive ride. The World War II historical drama from "Band of Brothers" producers has great production quality and details. Over on Amazon Prime Video, there is a fine new retelling of the famous swashbuckling hero, "Zorro." While it was enjoyable, the English dub wasn't as good as it could have been. And in select theaters, "The Zone of Interest" reminds us that real people can do terrible things once they've dehumanized another group of real people.

The brains behind Fan Effect are connoisseurs of categories surpassing nerdy with a goal to publish a weekly "What to Watch on the Weekend" minisodes, taken from KSL-TV's Friday segment, and two deep-dives a month on shows, creative works, artists, local events, and other fandom topics.

Based in the beautiful beehive state, Fan Effect celebrates Utah's unique fan culture as it has been declared The Nerdiest State in America by TIME, and is hosted by KSL Movie Show's Andy Farnsworth and KSL Podcasts' KellieAnn Halvorsen.
