Episode Description

Andy Farnsworth joins KSL-TV to help audiences decipher #WhatToWatch for the weekend of July 19, 2024. The year of Glen Powell continues as he headlines, along with Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos, the "standalone sequel" “Twisters,” on the big screen. Over on streaming, Dave Bautista returns to lead an action-comedy streaming sequel movie called "My Spy: The Eternal City," which is silly but occasionally hilarious on Amazon Prime.

Andy’s pick of the week is the Netflix documentary "Skywalkers: A Love Story," which is NOT about Star Wars, but rather some thrill-seekers who illegally climb the outside of skyscrapers and take photos/videos at the top.  It's almost impossible to believe! And we have to mention the sixth and final season of the “Cobra Kai” TV series, also on Netflix, begins as the dojos prepare for the Sekai Taikai tournament and the final showdown with their arch-nemesis.

The brains behind Fan Effect are connoisseurs of categories surpassing nerdy with a goal to publish a weekly "What to Watch on the Weekend" minisodes, taken from KSL-TV's Friday segment, and two deep-dives a month on shows, creative works, artists, local events, and other fandom topics.
