Vince & Alia Beeton: Humans Being Media

We’re spotlighting Humans Being Media, the Bay Area film team that’s been quietly reshaping the conversation around incarceration. Co-founders Alia and Vince Beeton have just scored a major national honor: their web series Time Together won the Anthem Award for Human and Civil Rights.

This comes on the heels of their documentary Going Inside: Empathy in Action winning Best Documentary at the Texas Short Film Festival. Both projects, created in partnership with the Transformative Justice Center, capture rare, vulnerable conversations between incarcerated men and volunteers—moments of empathy that point toward what real rehabilitation can look like.
