Andrew Crowley of the Runnin Hoops Podcast joined Big 12 Today to discuss the Utah Utes' 2025-2026 season. Crowley began by noting that poor defensive play contributed to just 10 wins and Utah’s placement at the bottom of the Big 12 standings.

He addressed the transfer portal activity, mentioning that Terrance Brown and Keanu Dawes have entered the portal, though there's a possibility they could return. Crowley explained that, given the NBA backgrounds of head coach Alex Jensen and GM Wes Wilcox, both players were likely encouraged to evaluate their value in the portal.

As Utah enters Jensen’s second year as head coach, Crowley discussed the program’s NIL budget, the roster changes needed through the transfer portal, and ongoing renovations to the Huntsman Center.

He also shared his realistic expectations for the team: while making the NCAA Tournament would be ideal, he believes Utah should be competitive and remain in the mix within the Big 12.

Crowley emphasized that, given the program’s circumstances, there would be no disappointment if Utah doesn’t reach the tournament, but he is confident the team will be much more competitive and improve significantly.
