BYU football head coach Kalani Sitake joined Big 12 Today to discuss the upcoming 2026 season. He highlighted the significant growth of quarterback Bear Bachmier, noting that Bear had to develop both on and off the field last year as a true freshman.
Coach Sitake shared his thoughts on the team’s overall readiness as they prepare for the regular season.
During the offseason, he mentioned spending quality time with his family, enjoying steaks, and visiting both Disneyland and Disney World, emphasizing how important family time is to him.
Sitake also praised offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick and defensive coordinator Kelly Poppinga for their leadership, and he acknowledged the valuable contributions of former coach Gary Andersen to his staff.
