Episode Description
Orlando Davis was arrested for a DUI in 2023, though the charge was ultimately reduced to reckless driving. However, there is no public record or reliable report of "shock jock" Bubba the Love Sponge® cracking on him regarding the incident.  Oh no? Listen to this Best of Bubba The Love Sponge® Show episode.

A timeline of the key details:
  • The Arrest: On July 22, 2023, the Wild 94.1 morning host (legally named Arlandal Davis) was arrested in Tampa following a 2:00 a.m. car crash at North Dale Mabry Highway and West Kennedy Boulevard. Police reported he ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, resulting in property damage and minor injuries. He was booked on one count of DUI with property damage or physical injury.
  • The Resolution: In May 2024, Orlando addressed the incident on-air, sharing that he had fallen asleep at the wheel. With the help of legal counsel and community service, his charge was downgraded to reckless driving, and the case was officially closed.
Bubba the Love Sponge® did not publicly "crack" on Orlando over the matter, as radio stations in the market typically steer clear of intensely attacking rival hosts over personal legal issues unless there is a long-standing personal feud.
