Important sports question this week. And by "sports," of course we mean football. Here it is: When American NFL teams play in Europe (there are games now in London, Berlin and Madrid, not to mention the longstanding game in Mexico City), do the fans even know who they're cheering for? Does it matter? Is American football so much a "thing" over there, that fans are happy just to be able to go to a game and hoot and holler and have a good time? We're guessing that like sports for many Americans, it's just a good excuse for a few beers. Which, by the way, are awesome in Germany. (Or so we've heard...) 

Also, a big discussion (or should we say rant) from BJ about holiday decorations in his home. Bill and his lady-friend just bought their first Christmas tree togheter (isn't that cute?), but BJ's spouse is a home-decorating superstar. Tune in to find out more...

If the opening of this week's show sounds a little strange, don't panic! BJ is pullling out some high-tech gadget in his recording studio to attempt an imitation voice of the Buc-ee's mascot!

Live and in person! Quite the memory for Bill, we're sure. After all, the boys talk about their Buc-ee's experiences almost every week.

This week, the boys express their frustration (putting it mildly) over the NFL's "local blackout" fule that meant this weekend, neither Bill nor BJ got to see their beloved Tampa Bay Bucaneers play on TV. That might have been a good thing, since the Bucs lost. (Bad for BJ's heart, you know...)

Also - and way more important - BJ's book is "on the air" (to use a radio term) on Amazon! It's just this week available as a digital download for your Kindle Reader, but the real hardcover shoudl be available soon... so stay tuned.

Football-wise, it's been a tough start of the. season for Bill's University of Florida Gators. Yeah, we know he didn't go to school at UF, but he lives right there in Gainesville, so it's a local thing for him.

This week - football season is back! And with that, the chances for BJ to. have heart issues, as he watched (and gets overly excited by) the boys favorite team, the Tampa Bay Bucaneers. Still, it all turned out for the best, for BJ and the team.

This week, memories of a couple of big names from our "era" who unfortunately have recently passed. Tiip of the podcast hat to our lost friends, wrestler Hulk Hogan and rock icon Ozzie Osborne. Both total legends in their respective specialities, both loved by fans world-wide. You will be missed, friends. Or in Hogan's case, should we say "brothers." Yes, that fits...

In case you've never heard of it, BJ also does a "side hustle" podcast (this one being the Main Thing, of course!).. it's called "The Gift of Life," and it's all about BJ's personal journey through his heart transplant and lots more. It also includes stories from others on a similar path - either as organ recipients, or family members telling the stories of domations be loved ones. 

All that to say, there's a good progress report on BJ's book about his story. It shoudl be coming out in the fall. In addition, BJ has a great story of a "coincidental" meeting with a mom who lost a child, and made the amazing decision to donate her loved ones' organs. 

PS - We put "coincidental" in quotes... mostly because we're of the belief that there's no such thing as coincidences in life... just the Universe giving us little winks and nudges along the way.

Artificial Intelligence is taking over Planet Earth... but the good news is that. so far, at least, BJ and Bill are still doing their podcast live and completely Ai-free each week! Is that a good thing? Now we're not so sure... 

BJ and Bill talk about putting Ai to worko for good, and not evil (looking at you, mad scientists). We wonder how long it will be before computers can do just about anything, any job... and what does that mean for young people going to college and looking ahead to working life.
