Episode Description

In the latest episode of Half-Court Press, Wilson Moore and Jon Walker discuss the latest in Nebraska and Creighton basketball, including the Huskers' big win over UCLA followed by a frustrating loss to Iowa, and why the Bluejays will keep a sense of urgency the rest of the way.

The guys open with Creighton's close loss to Marquette that coach Greg McDermott said was a game that slipped through the cracks and a chance for the Jays to grab a signature win for the resume.

Jon runs through the reasons why CU fell short including Steven Ashworth's shooting struggles and a Golden Eagles team that got hot in the final minutes of the first half after Creighton had got them out of their rhythm.

Wilson then breaks down NU's win over UCLA in which they out-muscled the Bruins and grabbed full control of that one before diving into how Iowa was able to chase down the Huskers in overtime with bigtime shot-making.

The duo have a conversation about upcoming opponents this weekend with both teams on the road playing early morning matchups in Indiana with NU at Purdue and CU at Butler.

The two debate who needs the game more which leads to Jon talking about Creighton's sense of urgency the rest of the season and why the Jays can't drop games to the bottom of the Big East if they have NCAA tournament intentions.
