 “Wheel,” Jesse Welles crafts a quietly stirring meditation on time, trust and the perpetual motion of life. With his acoustic guitar gently propelling the track, Welles’ voice places faith in “apples to grow on trees” and asks the age-old question: Do they believe in me?

Released earlier this year as part of the album Middle, all profits from the Bandcamp download of the track are pledged to Arkansas Food Bank and No Kid Hungry — proof that Welles doesn’t just sing about hope, he acts on it.
