Destination Heartland: Atchison, Kansas

In this week's Destination Heartland, we travel 45 minutes northwest of Kansas City to Atchison, Kansas, a unique town in the state known for its historic charm, boutique shops, restaurants, historic homes, and stately buildings. Atchison’s biggest connection is to American aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart. Even though she lived in many different cities, Earhart considered Atchison to be her hometown.
