Remembering Dolly Parton, Quilts of Valor, and a local church prays for Prichard

Welcome to Good Week Gulf Coast! Highlighting the best of our area, Good Week Gulf Coast takes a look at some of the “good” news happening near you.

This week, we remember the late, great Dolly Parton. Lee Peck shares stories about the late singer, including her philanthropy and local impact.

We also discuss the story of World War II veteran Robert Ownby. The 100-year-old was honored by the Quilts of Valor Foundation during the weekly Thursday night senior dance at the Tillmans Corner Community Center.

We finish the episode by highlighting the city of Prichard and how one church is calling on the community to pray for the city’s future.
