Week 10 is here and for most teams, the final push for a playoff spot is this week.

In 6A, Region 1 runs through the Eastern Shore as the rivalry game between Fairhope and Daphne serves as the region championship. Saraland looks to stay hot and claim the two seed in 5A, Orange Beach will take on Citronelle in a battle of 4A playoff teams, and Escambia County will look to keep their playoff hopes alive when they take on Opp in 3A.

The top four teams in Private Double-A meet with UMS-Wright vs McGill-Toolen deciding the region champion and Montgomery Catholic vs St. Michael determining the three and four seed in playoff picture.

In 2A, Luverne and Thomasville look to keep momentum as they take on Clarke County and Hillcrest-Evergreen, two teams fighting for one of the two final playoff spots. 
Marengo vs Southern Choctaw and Providence Christian vs St. Luke’s are two games that could decide the final playoff spots in 1A and Private Single-A Region 1.

We break down all the classifications in Region 1 and see where things stand as we head into the last two weeks of the regular season.

We are 2 weeks away from the playoffs and region titles were up for grabs this week.

Thursday kicked off with one of the biggest games this season across the state as Vigor and Williamson squared off at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

Friday brought top matchups including Gulf Shores vs Spanish Fort, Mobile Christian vs Bayside, and McGill-Toolen vs Montgomery Catholic. In 3A, W.S. Neal and Opp played in a must win game for both teams, Clarke County looked to bounce back against Monroe County in 2A, and McIntosh and Leroy faced tough tests in 1A. 

We break down all of the Region 1 action from Week 9 and look at the standings as we head into the final two weeks of the regular season

Week 9 is here and multiple region titles are on the line this week!

The week is headlined by the heavyweight matchup between Vigor and Williamson, but Gulf Shores will take on a red hot Spanish Fort team with the 5A Region 1 title on the line.

In the Private School divisions, McGill-Toolen heads up to Montgomery to take on Montgomery Catholic, Bayside and Mobile Christian face off for the region title, and we get one of the premier Mobile rivalries in the Battle of Old Shell Road between UMS-Wright and St. Paul’s.

Down in 3A, the Jackson Aggies and T.R. Miller Tigers square off, both looking to solidify their playoff spots, and in 1A, the Leroy Bears will try to fend off the Southern Choctaw Indians who look to stay in the mix for one of the final playoff spots.

It was a non region week on the Gulf Coast with several teams on a bye, that didn't stop the action on the football field. St. Michael and Bayside squared off on the Eastern Shore, Leroy hosted a 4A Straughn team, Vigor and Saraland hit the road in two high profile games, and Maplesville took on Luverne in a battle of small school powers.
