Episode Description
First Alert Weather Day(s) remain in place for tonight and Friday as heavy rain and the potential for flooding continue. A Flood Watch is in effect for several East Texas counties overnight. Some locations have already received over an inch of rain in our area, and rainfall totals will continue to rise with the additional showers and thunderstorms. The cold front will move through the area on Friday, keeping temperatures from climbing far into the 80s during the afternoon. Chances for rain will continue into the weekend, though the risk for flooding will come to an end on Friday, thus the First Alert Weather Days will not extend into the weekend. Next week, lows could be in the upper 50s, and highs will be in the upper 70s for a few days.

Also on today's show, we're learning about an emu rescue in Arizona after flooding this week, and continued updates on the flooding risk across the state and country. Finally, our satellite imagery of the day, showing a storm system drenches the Southwest U.S. to the Great Lakes with heavy rainfall and an accompanying flooding risk, fueled by tropical moisture form the Pacific, courtesy of the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere.
