If you feel like you're walking on the wheel and not actually moving the needle; if you feel like there is a sparkle inside you that just doesn't get to shine, this conversation is for you.
Hellen Moffitt is the owner and Founder of Thrift Pony, a second hand and vintage resale boutique in Camp North End. This is not your average thrifty space; it is curated with wild and wow-worthy finds handpicked by staff for their pony pals.
Hellen never set out to be “in retail,” much less have two spaces connected with the brand. But the pony passion found her, and she stepped away from her corporate job and into an unknown space to pursue her dream.
Hellen reshaped her dream in multiple iterations: from a clothing rental business, to pop up sales, and one final “hail Mary” community thrift sale in a parking lot -- which ultimately gave her the courage to move in the direction she needed to go all-in on.
Hellen isn’t just the owner of Thrift Pony, she sets the vibe and time of the brand with her signature hot pink hair, bespoke fits, and community-based mindset. She’s everything you’d want in a story of inspiration, risk taking, and a big bold life.
