What should we expect from the Carolina Hurricanes during the NHL free agency period?

During the Daily Checkdown, Chris Lea & Dennis Cox discuss USA Baseball vs. Chinese Taipei in the International Friendship Series which takes place at Durham Bulls Athletic Park this weekend, the latest on conference realignment regarding FBS conferences, ESPN laying off on-air talent, and the start of NBA free agency. 

Also, Midnight marks the start of NHL free agency, where players are free to sign with any team. Regarding the Carolina Hurricanes, Jesper Fast will be returning, and they've extended a qualifying offer to defenseman Dylan Coghlan. We've yet to hear anything regarding the goaltenders. We discuss the free agency period and what else we expect the Hurricanes to do during the weekend.
