NBA and NHL free agency will be well underway this weekend

Midnight marks the start of NHL free agency, where players are free to sign with any team. Regarding the Carolina Hurricanes, Jesper Fast will be returning, and they've extended a qualifying offer to defenseman Dylan Coghlan. We've yet to hear anything regarding the goaltenders. Chris Lea & Dennis Cox discuss the free agency period and what else they expect the Hurricanes to do during the weekend.

Also, throughout the entire NHL, we've seen some big-time players get bought out already. Why does this matter? This changes the landscape of how organizations plan to attack when it comes to acquiring players.
