Is the signing of Vladmir Tarasenko to the Carolina Hurricanes actually going to happen?

Rumor has it the Carolina Hurricanes are looking to sign New York Rangers right winger Vladimir Tarasenko as part of the free agency period. A deal was supposedly in the works, but when Tarasemko hired a new agent, it reset the clock on any process. Paul Ihander & Chris Lea discuss the Hurricanes' continuing to try and improve their roster and Dmitry Orlov needing to make the call to Tarasenko since they grew up together. 

Also, what does the future of sports television look like following the ESPN layoffs recently? ESPN released a total of twenty on-air talent last week. Stephen A. Smith says that more layoffs are expected.
