The Carolina Hurricanes signed forward Brendan Lemieux, and are still in the running to trade for San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson. Also, Northwestern football fires head football coach Pat Fitzgerald, the Home Run Derby allows players to show their personallity and why it's good for baseball, and how the Carolina Panthers needs to figure out their defensive front alongside Brian Burns.
