ESPN put out a list of their projected top-100 players for the 2023-2024 NHL season, and only three Carolina Hurricanes players were on the list: Jaccob Slavin at 79, Brian Burns at 61, and Sebastian Aho at 22. Tim Donnelly points out how this doesn't match up for a team that many consider to be the favorite to win the Stanley Cup.
