Revisiting Don Cherry's 'Bunch of Jerks' comment; Parker Byrd's historic moment in Division-I baseball

Paul Ihander & Graham Hill take a trip down memory lane in Hurricanes history, marking the fifth anniversary of the infamous 'Bunch of Jerks' comment directed at the Carolina Hurricanes by former Canadian ice hockey player, coach, and television commentator, Don Cherry. Paul & Graham reflect on the impact of those words and the lasting legacy they ended up leaving on the Hurricanes organization.

Also, Paul & Graham acknowledge a remarkable milestone in collegiate baseball history. We shine a spotlight on Parker Byrd, the inspirational East Carolina University baseball player who made history this past Friday by becoming the first Division-I baseball player to compete with a prosthetic leg.

In Next Up, host Paul Ihander moves the Triangle sports day forward, providing insight to fans and listeners on the sports world’s biggest stories and trending topics through a personality-based and sound driven presentation.

Next Up is a production of 99.9 The Fan in Raleigh, North Carolina.
