Worcester Red Sox 7, Durham Bulls 4

Worcester claimed the series opener against the Bulls 7-4. The Red Sox hit three homers, including one by former Bulls IF Rob Refsnyder.

Alex Jackson connected for his sixth home run in 13 games to pull the Bulls to within 5-4.

Mason Montgomery permitted five runs over four innings in taking his fourth straight loss.
