After dropping 4 in a row, including a shutout at the hands of the Rangers, the Hurricanes needed a positive result. Well, Carolina was excellent again, and they beat the Lightning, 3-2. Two power play goals from Martin Necas and Tony DeAngelo in the 2nd had the Canes ahead 2-1 after 40 minutes. Then Sebastian Aho's 28th of the season proved to be the game winner, stuffing home a rebound of a shot by Jaccob Slavin.
