The win, coupled with the Devils loss to the Stars (Saturday's opponent at PNC Arena) narrows New Jersey's lead in the Metro to 6 points over the Hurricanes and Penguins. Carolina is 6-0-2 in their last 8 and will host Seattle on Thursday as they open a 4-game home stand.
