Seth Jarvis scored twice, both on the power play, and the Hurricanes stormed back with 4 third period goals to beat San Jose, 6-3. Jarvis opened the scoring for the Canes with a first period goal. He pounced on a rebound and punched it past Mackenzie Blackwood to tie the game at 1. Then, just 2 1/2 minutes after Stefan Noesen's power play goal tied the game at 3, Jarvis ripped a slap shot from the right circle past the glove of the Sharks' netminder to give the Canes the lead for good. Brett Pesce, Martin Necas and Jaccob Slavin also scored for Carolina. For Slavin the goal was shorthanded and it was his 2nd such goal this year. It also was the Hurricanes' 4th shorty on the year already.
