Canes fall 2-1 in shootout, extend point streak to 6

The Carolina Hurricanes extended their point streak to a season high 6 straight games in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Penguins. Teuvo Teravainen scored Carolina's only goal in the second period. The Hurricanes remain stout on the penalty kill after erasing all five Penguins power plays including one to close out the overtime. Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 24 shots and has allowed just 7 goals in his last 5 games.
