Canes close road trip with 2-1 win in Detroit

The Canes played one of their best defensive games of the season in a 2-1 win over the Red Wings. Carolina allowed 26 shots, but very few were great looks and Pyotr Kotchetkov enjoyed his second consecutive 1-goal outing. Jack Drury extended his points streak to 4 with a 1st period goal and Jordan Staal poked home the game-winner after Red Wings goalie Ville Husso misplayed the puck right in front of his net.
