Maternity 5-Star

In this week’s Your Life Your Health segment with Dr. Tamara Sheffield from Intermountain Health, we discuss how all 21 Intermountain Health hospitals in Utah with labor and delivery departments have received a 5-star rating for being breast-feeding friendly facilities from the Utah Department of Health and Human Services by completing all 10-steps in the Departments Stepping Up for Utah’s Babies Program. This program is evidence-based, maternity care practices that demonstrate optimal support of breast feeding. Best practices are discussed, and information is provided for mom’s seeking additional support and information.
