A VERY special guest joined Utah Puck Report today. Host of the show Jay Stevens chatted with Utah NHL left wing Lawson Crouse. They discussed what it was like for Crouse when he found out the team would be moving to Utah and what the Utah fan reaction meant to him. They also talked about what Crouse and his teammates plan to bring to the ice next season. 

On today’s episode, Jay Stevens is joined by former LA King and Denver Pioneer Gabe Gauthier. The two talk about Gabe‘s upbringing, going from California to Canada, playing for back-to-back national championships. They also explain what ADM is in youth hockey and why it's important. The two discuss the growth of Hockey in Southern Utah as well as future plans for St. George, Cedar city and Enoch hockey.

Utah's NHL coach André Tourigny talked with Utah Puck Report host Jay Stevens ahead of the team's welcome party at Delta Center. The two discussed his nickname (Bear), the group of young, talented players he brings to Salt Lake City with him and what it means to coach Team Canada.

Host of the Utah Puck Report Jay Stevens joined Hans & Scotty G. on KSL Sports Zone to talk all things NHL to Utah. The guys discussed the relocation of the Arizona Coyotes, potential team names and Jay filled the guys in on how the roster currently looks. 

They also talked about the National Hockey League as a whole and how to watch the upcoming Stanley Cup Playoffs.

On this episode, host of Utah Puck Report Jay Stevens is joined by Trevor's dad, Randy Lewis. They talk about Randy's life long love for hockey and how it was only amplified when his son was drafted into the NHL and proceeded to have an incredible career.

Aylin and Emel Aichele joined Utah Puck Report host Jay Stevens to chat about their love of roller hockey, why they chose to play ice hockey at the University of Utah and the hockey community from around the world. 

They also discuss the key differences between roller and ice hockey and whether or not they negatively impact each other. 

The twins are on the USA women's roller hockey team, they tell Jay about their time competing in Argentina. 

Jared Youngman, Vice President of the Utah Grizzlies sat down with Utah Puck Report host Jay Stevens to discuss the team's push for the ECHL playoffs and why hockey growth in Utah is exponential. 

They also discuss what bringing and NHL team to Utah could mean for the Grizzlies, and if you're a fan who is worried about that, Youngman offers some reassurance. 

The University of Utah hockey team is on its way to Nationals. Jay Stevens, host of Puck Report, caught up with the captain of the team, Dylan Dix. The two of them talked about Dyaln's journey to where he is now and how playing for Utah Hockey helped reignite his spark for the sport. The senior also clued Jay in about some of his plans after this season and his time with Utah Hockey ends. 

Kevin McCloskey, former NHL player and current director of the Utah Outliers joined Jay Stevens on Puck Report to talk about the team, which a tier 2 Junior A team and their new rink that is currently being built in Park City, Utah. Right now, the team plays in Salt Lake but will be moving to Park City soon. 

The guys talk about how tight-knit the hockey community is nation-wide and a little about McCloskey's playing career.

On today's episode of Utah Puck Report, Jay Stevens sits down with Bryon Fobair (Weber State Hockey captain) and his brother Will Fobair (Weber State Hockey coach) as they set out for Nationals in St. Louis. 

The guys talk juniors, high school hockey and college hockey, offering parents of young players tips on the right approach. They guys detail their hockey journey to Weber State while reliving fun memories. 

Both Weber State and the University of Utah hockey teams are heading to Nationals and Utah State may be joining them, this is huge for hockey in the state of Utah. 

In honor of National Girls & Women in sports day, Rodney Stedt, head coach of the Utah Women's hockey team joins Jay Stevens. They talked about the rapid growth of women's hockey and the importance of making sure there is hockey for women to play at every level. 

Stedt told Jay his hockey story and how a coach almost ruined the game for him, but he rediscovered his love of the sport through coaching and how he makes sure his team is a place where every player has fun and feels the camaraderie. 

They guys also talk about the new women's pro hockey league, the PWHL. 

Ryan Kinasewich (Head Coach - Utah Grizzlies) joins Jay Stevens to talk about how he's preparing for his third season as head coach of the Utah Grizzlies, overcoming the challenges from last season, and some of the qualities he looks for when scouting players.

Then we dive into some of the players to keep an eye on this season, the state of the team following the passing of owner, David Elmore, and Christian Horn being the new assistant coach for the 2023-2024 season.

Season 6 kicks off with Steve Konowalchuk, the first player from Salt Lake to make it to the NHL. Jay and Steve talk about growing up in Salt Lake, and the other players, coaches, and parents that helped create a special team.

Then they get into how Steve and his brother Brian made the unexpected leap to Canada. Steve talks about his NHL career, and what it was like to play against Joey Mullen and other former Golden Eagles that he had grown up watching.

Then Jack talks about his idea on how to help make Utah hockey more competitive and beneficial for all of those involved.
