The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare is the big movie of the week and it's inspired by true events. Will Andy & Steve give it 5 gunpowder barrels out of 5? 

Hard Miles is a little gem that is a must-see among the batch of movies coming out this weekend.

In this Movie Show Digital Extra, Andy Farnsworth is joined by film director T.C. Christensen, whose new movie “Escape From Germany” opens on Thursday, April 11, 2024 in Utah theaters, with a regional distribution to follow. 

“Escape From Germany” tells the true story how missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were miraculously evacuated from Germany just before World War II broke out in August of 1939. 

Christensen talks about how the movie came to be, how long he’s been working on it, some of the challenges of shooting a period piece on an independent film budget, and what he hopes a viewer will experience when they watch it.  (NOTE: Some minor story spoilers for “Escape From Germany” are discussed)

In this Movie Show Digital Extra, Andy Farnsworth is joined by Julie Gale of the Utah Film Center, who also happens to be the director of the Tumbleweeds Film Festival for kids, taking place on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in West Jordan, Utah. 

The Tumbleweeds Film Festival’s theme this year is “Finding Joy Together” and celebrates children and families unique stories, and gives kids a vibrant place to share their experiences.  The film portion of the festival features entries from kids on multiple continents, with showings all day, as well as workshops in different aspects of filmmaking, and guest presentations—including an appearance by several members of JK! Studios (formerly of “Studio C”) in a live panel! 

A heartwarming movie takes the top spot on the movie show this week. Someone Like You will most likely cause you to tear up by the time you finish it. 

The First Omen is out and might keep you on the edge of your seat. Andy and Steve will talk about Monkey Man, Wicked Little Letters, and much more!

Over on streaming Sugar and Loot hit Apple TV+, the final season of Star Trek Discovery is out and last but not least Ripley is out on Netflix! 

Another monster mash is coming up this weekend! This time the two heavyweights tag team to take down a greater evil! Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is out now. 

Over on streaming, a doc about the life and career of Steve Martin this Apple TV+, and for this Easter weekend Netflix releases Testament: The Story of Moses. 

It's a movie show double feature, from the Megaplex Jordan Commons Theaters in Sandy! Andy, Steve, Larry, and Jeff 'THEE' Whipple dive into Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire the latest movie in the franchise. 

The guys will revisit the past Ghostbusters movies and if you missed the morning show they'll revisit the other movie reviews. 

Andy & Steve will talk about the big news that broke this morning. Movie star Kevin Bacon comes back to Payson High. The megastar comes back to the school where he filmed Footloose. 

Get the proton packs ready, Andy & Steve are catching some ghosts! What will the guys rate the latest Ghostbusters movie? 

In addition, Steve & Andy will talk about a local film called Riddle of Fire, Sydney Sweeney is back as a nun in Immaculate. 

In the streaming world, a famous movie from the 80's gets a reboot; Road House on Prime Video starring Jake Gyllenhaal and UFC champ Connor McGregor. 3 Body Problem a sci-fi film that has to do with aliens coming to earth is premiering on Netflix. 

On today's movie show, Andy & Steve review Mark Walhbergs latest movie, Arthur The King. The movie is based on a true story, will it earn a true grade from the guys? 

The Oscars were last week and the guys will share their opinion of the show, will they mention the John Cena stunt? 

In streaming there's a few biggies, Irish Wish on Netflix, Manhunt on Apple TV+, and Apples Never Fall on Peacock. 

On today's movie show, Andy & Steve review the big movie of the week--Kung Fu Panda 4 starring Jack Black. Will the 4th installment of the serious earn 5 dumplings out of 5? 

The guys review an Angel Studios production that seems very interesting and intriguing, Cabrini, is one that people should check out.  

Virginia Pearce with the Utah Film Commission joins the show to talk about Horizon. In honor of Women's History Month, Virginia will talk about female-centric films that have been filmed in Utah! 

Andy & Steve's two big streaming reviews are The Gentlemen on Netflix and The Regime on Max. 

Live from the Megaplex Theater in Sandy, Andy & Steve review the BIG movie of the week and possibly of the year. Dune Part 2 starring Austin Butler, Timothee Chalamet, Florence and Zendaya. Will part 2 be better than part 1?

Michael John Warren director of the docuseries Lolla: The Story of Lollapalooza joined the show and talked about his 2 part series premiering at Sundance and streaming soon on Paramount +.  

Director Gary Hustwit and Brendan Dawes the head of programming joined Andy & Steve to talk about the work that went into their film Eno. They say not every show is the same. 

On today's movie show, Andy & Steve take a look at a space movie called I.S.S. They also take a look at a streaming documentary on Netflix called American Nightmare. Plus we have telephone torture!   

The "plastics" are back on the big screen, Mean Girls is the BIG movie of the week. Will Andy & Steve give it 5 pink sweaters out of 5?

Andy and Steve reviewed The Shepherd on Disney+ and were joined by Larry Tessone with Megaplex Theaters to talk about what's coming up for the Megaplex in 2024. Our hosts then previewed upcoming streaming features for 2024 before debating the future of superhero movies. None of our callers were able to answer our Telephone Torture question, but a texter took the prize this week!
