Coming up on today's Movie Show, Andy & Steve review MyDead Friend Zoe - Engaged in a mysterious relationship with her dead best friend from the Army, a female Afghanistan veteran comes head to head with her Vietnam vet grandfather at the family's ancestral lake house.

The guys will also review Riff Raff, Last Breath, and Soundtrack to a D'etat. 

Andy & Steve will also discuss what's streaming on Hulu; Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke  - Follows Ruby Franke, a former YouTube mom blogger with millions of followers who was sentenced to prison for child abuse. 

In addition, they will look at streaming series like Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy (Peacock), House of David(Prime),1923 S2(Paramount+), Toxic Town, and Running Point on Netflix. 

In this Movie Show Digital Extra, Marshall Moore Co-director of Zions Indie Film Fest talks about the festival and what we can expect this year. 

In the second segment, Tom Durham director of Recipe for Love talks about what goes into making an indie movie, directing his wife and actor Ali Durham. He also discusses the production value compared to the big Marvel movies. He also mentioned how much time he and his wife have to pour into post-production. Ali makes a special appearance on the podcast and speaks on what the audience can expect.

In the final segment, Jesse Edwards director of The Wildman of Shaggy Creek joined the podcast. He speaks about what his new movie is about and it's not that freaky. Jesse tells Andy what inspired him to write the script for the project. They also discuss child actors in indie films.

Coming up on today's Movie Show, Andy & Steve review Captain America: Brave New World -Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, finds himself in the middle of an international incident and must discover the motive behind a nefarious global plan. 

The guys will also review Paddington in Peru, Armand, and the 2025 Oscar-nominated Shorts.

Andy & Steve will also discuss what's streaming on Peacock; Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy - Bridget Jones navigates life as a widow and single mom with the help of her family, friends, and former lover, Daniel. Back to work and on the apps, she's pursued by a younger man and maybe - just maybe - her son's science teacher.

Other streaming movies they will review are The Gorge(AppleTV+), The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep(Netflix), and LaDolce Villa also on Netflix. 

In addition, they will look at streaming series like Surviving Black Hawk Down(Netflix), White Lotus S3(MAX), Yellowjackets S3(Paramount+), and the final 5 episodes of the final season of Cobra Kai on Netflix. 

Coming up on today's Movie Show, Andy & Steve review Love Hurts - A realtor is pulled back into the life he left behind after his former partner-in-crime resurfaces with an ominous message. With his crime-lord brother also on his trail, he must confront his past and the history he never fully buried.

The guys will also review Bring Them Down, Heart Eyes, Seed of the Sacred Fig, and I'm Still Here. 

Virginia Pearce from the Utah Film Commission will stop by to tell us about the latest Utah film projects!

Andy & Steve will also discuss what's streaming on Netflix; Kinda Pregnant - The story follows Lainy, who, being jealous of her best friend's pregnancy, begins to wear a false pregnant belly - and accidentally gets to meet the man of her dreams.

Andy & Steve put their lists together to discuss the best and underrated movies of 2024! 

Disney brings back another classic movie to the big screen. Mufasa: The Lion King is in theaters now. In addition, Andy & Steve will review Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Homestead. They will also review Christmas Day movies starting with A Complete Unknown, Nosferatu, and The Fire Inside. 

It's a special Thursday edition of The Movie Show! Andy and Steve will discuss Christmas movies, discuss the Golden Globe nominations, and discuss their favorite streaming movies and series. 

In this Movie Show Digital Extra, Bailey Chase and Jesse Hutch, stars of Homestead join Andy Farnsworth to talk about the movie. Bailey plays an ex-green beret named Jeff Eriksson who is hired by a rich doomsday prepper to provide security at his compound in Utah when the country collapses into chaos after an attack on America.  Hutch plays Eriksson's army buddy Evan Lee, who also is providing security and military training to the people living at the homestead.

Chase & Hutch talk about their roles in the movie--spoiler-free in the first segment, then with spoilers in the second segment--and a little bit about themselves, including Chase's former roommate (a famous sports star), and Hutch's surprising similarites to a certain Marvel mutant superhero.

Homestead (Angel Studios), in theaters starting Dec. 19th, stars Neal McDonough, Dawn Olivieri, Bailey Chase, Kearron Giovanni, Olivia Sanabia, Susan Misner, Jesse Hutch and Currie Graham.  Directed by Ben Smallbone. Based on the book series Black Autumn by Jeff Kirkham and Jason Ross.

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim hits theaters today! This new installment of the Lord of the Rings is an animated film. Will Steve and Andy give it 5 rings out of 5? The guys will also review Kraven the Hunter and Queer.

Andy and Steve found themselves wrapped up in a suspensful tale of true events this week while watching The Order, and were rewarded with half of a laugh during Y2K. To top it all off, the animated film FLOW, starring a rag-tag bunch of animals surviving a flood is sure to be a tear-jerker, even if the only dialogue is a couple squeeks and meows. In other animal news, Andy and Steve review Nightbitch, a movie about the madness of motherhood starring Amy Adams. 

Get ready to ride again with the brave Moana and Maui in Moana 2. If a Disney animated movie isn't your thing, then maybe Maria starting Angelina Jolie might be more in your wheelhouse.  

It's off to the Emerald City! Andy & Steve review Wicked based on the hit Broadway musical. The movie stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and Jeff Goldblum. Another big movie hitting theaters today is Gladiator 2 and Bonhoeffer. 

Another Christmas movie, Red One, is hitting theaters this weekend. It stars Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons. Will Steve and Andy give Red One five candy canes out of five?

Two other movies are out now: A Real Pain and Ghost Cat Anzu. 

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever actor Judy Greer joins the show and discusses the movie. 

In this Movie Show Digital Extra, star of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Judy Greer joins Andy Farnsworth to discuss the movie. This is her first lead role as she plays Grace Bradley, the person who gives the trouble-making kids the Herdmans a chance to show the town there is good in them.

It might seem odd to consider that "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" is kind of an anomaly among Christmas movies: It's set in modern day, but actually focuses on the real meaning of Christmas--you know, the religious meaning.  Perhaps you remember reading the book when you were a kid.  Maybe you've seen the stage production that's made the rounds over the years.  Or maybe you even watched the 1980's TV movie.  But now there is a new feature-length version coming to theaters on November 8th.

The new film "The Carpenter" is a bit of a mash-up of things you might not expect to find in the same movie.  An MMA-type fighter in the time of Jesus Christ.  A white man with red hair in 1st century Israel.  Needle drops from Metallica in a movie heavily connected to religion.

In this Movie Show Digital Extra, producer & co-writer Kenny Krebs, and co-writer and star Kameron Krebs ("Oren") join Andy Farnsworth to talk about the movie, including how a family not connected to Hollywood had the desire to not just make a movie, but to make one that they would like to watch. To them, it's a deeply personal and even miraculous movie that has required a multi-year effort and a heavy personal financial investment even as they endured personal trials and tragedies.
