Which team is the best equipped to run it back? Team Croatia got kicked in the nuts by the VAR and the guys till don’t know what offside is, they’ve been enjoying the World Cup, but they also point out a few areas where the experience could be better. John and Chad end the third hour talking about a training camp battle that makes absolutely no sense.  

For the second hour of Stokely and Evans with Mark Schlereth, John Davis and Chad Andrus sit in for the guys. They open the second hour with something familiar, a hot take on the classic 4th of July spread, and some of the biggest robbed moments in sports history. Nuggets fans’ patience is being tested this offseason, but the guys explain why it’s not necessarily the Nuggets’ fault. The Nuggets are handcuffed, and the most viable move to get out of it is to trade Jamal Murray, so why haven’t they made a move? John and Chad explore the hypothetical of Lebron choosing Jokic and Denver over everybody else. How would he affect his legacy and Joker’s, win or lose?

John and Chad pick out the biggest sports moments where the win was robbed.

Do the Nuggets need to take a step back before they can make any progress? The Broncos looked like they had a plan at WR... but then they traded for Jaylen Waddle, John and Chad discuss what changed and how much pressure is being on Jaylen Waddle to be the miracle cure. It looks like the Nuggets lucked out with Peyton Watson’s suitors spending their cap elsewhere, John and Chad break down the Nuggets’ roster to see what other work they need to do.

In the first hour of Stokely and Evans with Mark Schlereth, both of our hosts are in rough shape between Stoke’s Shingles and Mike’s common cold. They recap yesterday’s NBA and NHL free agency action as it pertains to the Nuggets and Avs. They discuss what they hope the Nuggets do... then predict what they’ll actually do. There are some Nuggets fans listening who want to run it back next season, but how many times do you want to run it back until it’s time to make a change? The Nuggets’ free agency hinges on one player, Mike and Stoke tell you who that is. Mike and Stoke end the first hour telling Nuggets fans to be prepared for the Nuggets to run it back next season.

What’s Trending? Dogpiling on analytics and a player the Rockies need to get ahead of.

They try to get into the mind of Nikola Jokic to figure out why he’s passing a massive 4-year, $278M extension. The Nuggets are looking to bring in a former head coach to help David Adelman, is this a move to find a safety net in case the Nuggets’ coach doesn’t produce again? They discuss Jaylen Brown’s trade value after a social media tirade about analytics. Mike and Stink end the first hour reacting to the Avs retaining Brett Kulak and Brent Burns.

As much as they may hate it, the guys explain why the Nuggets need to take a page out of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ book when it comes to team building.
