What a shame. The Nuggets and Avalanche’s seasons are officially over, and we are wallowing in the disappointment. What the heck happened this weekend? Mat Smith and Mike Evans try to figure it out. Lack of trust? Burn out? Out rostered? Either way, which team’s 2^nd round exit is more surprising?

Is the fatigue excuse for the Nuggets a good one. Mike doesn’t buy it, but Mat argues that it is a piece of the overall failure equation for the Nugs. There is one player who let the team down the most and was Michael Malone out of pocket in his postgame presser? How about the Avs, how much of the result of the season was in their control?

Is it time to start asking questions about Malone? Our Senior Editor at Denversports.com James Merilatt would say so as he joins the show to discuss his latest article which dives into that very question. He thinks there is a better option out there for the Nugs, but what about Bednar? Is it his fault or is it the Avs not having their leader that’s to blame?

What on earth was that? The Nuggets get absolutely stomped last night and have Mat Smith and Stink questioning everything. We here from Murray, Jokic and Malone to try and make sense of last night while looking ahead to the Avs Game 6 this evening as well. Also, things got a little out of hand this morning at the PGA Championship.

Jokic said last night’s loss was a “great” loss, and by the looks of his 4^th quarter standing – you can tell he really soaked that one in. What can we expect from him and the rest of the squad on Sunday? While we never wanted to see the Nugs in Game 7 it’s all we can hope for tonight as the Avalanche fight for another shot in tonight’s Game 6.

Scottie Scheffler was arrested this morning hours before his tee time at the PGA Championships. Mat details the entire story before we recap that atrocity we witnessed last night in the Nuggets. It seems Jamal and Jokic are completely owning and accepting this loss. We thought the wake-up call kicked in after games 1 and 2, will they be able to bounce back from this one as well? Mat gets his opportunity to ask Stink about the Broncos schedule this season.

Congratulations to CU’s Travis Hunter who is featured on the cover of the new EA College Football video game! But, being on the cover doesn’t win games on Sunday. Mat asks what the Buffs are going to do about their run game which clearly needs tending to. Then, Mat and Stink give their predictions for tonight Avs Game 6 and the Nuggets Game 7 on Sunday.

Mikes gets his day in the sun with a big I told you so after the Avs pull through with a win last night! How were they able to pull it off? Cale makar was an absolute beast. The Bronco’s schedule is officially out, what do Mike and mark think of it? Finally, the Rockies are A”may”zing? Going on a 7-game winning streak.

Fever proposes a question for the guys: Would you sacrifice a Nuggets Game 6 win for an Avs Game 6 win? Then, Stink begrudgingly goes through the Broncos schedule and makes his picks.

The narrative circulating throughout the sports world is that Gobert blew it and is to blame for Jokic’s’ monster Game 5. But is that really the case? Mike finally gets his back waxing before debating whether the Stars blew it last night or if the Avs won it all by themselves…

Is there enough on this Broncos roster for Bo Nix to have a CJ Stroud type of breakout season? Lil Wayne is officially cancelled here in Denver, Happy Gilmore 2 has been greenlit and Mike and Mark give their predictions for the Nuggets game tonight.

Jokic was absolutely out of his mind last night, proving to the world that he deserves to be the 3-time MVP! Is there anything new that can be said about him that hasn’t already been said? And, is this series over as we know it? The Broncos schedule gets released today, if the season opener is in Seattle is that where we want to see Bo Nix begin his NFL career?

Watching Jokic was unbelievable last night- we hear from Michael Malone who tells us about a moment he had with Jamal who continues to marvel at his teammate as well. And Draymond Green? Do we like him after he praises Jokic during his halftime report? As the Broncos get their schedule, do we believe Sean Payton will be able to put his stamp on this team?  

Is there any reason the Nuggets and Nikola Jokic can’t do this thing again next year? What’s standing in the way of Jokic being just as dominate next year as he has been this season? Or will the sports world sabotage it? Stink texts Stephen A. live on air and gets him riled up during First Take!

Jokic has obviously been showcasing his MVP caliber play, but there’s one player who hasn’t gotten enough credit for all he’s done these past three games. Theres also one player who needs to step it up! Mike and Mark look forward to the Broncos schedule release and give their picks on the Avs game tonight.

Wow, it’s like a repeat nightmare as we lose Val yet again. Did the Avs lose last night because of the news? What would we like to see the Avs do about Val this time around? Broncos mini-camp is underway, and we hear from Sean Payton and whether it’s different now that they’re developing a young QB. Finally, are the Rockies going to surprise Mike and Mark?

Does the decision on what to do with Val have anything to do with the front office, or should they leave it to the players to decide whether we let this guy go or not? We hear from Sean Peyton after rookie mini camp on how they’ll be evaluating talent in his second year.

Our own Denversports.com’s Cecil Lammey joins the show to recap everything from Broncos rookie mini camp. There’s been high praise for Bo Nix which Cecil says he pioneered! Even though “we’re talkin’ bout practice,” Cecil sees a lot of promising things. But what about our running back room? Is anyone’s job safe? After an epic boy band debate- Stink wonders if the Avs owe it to their players to boot Nichushkin.

Have the Nuggets proved themselves yet and gained our trust back after dominating in the last two games? And will they get the job done tonight? Speaking of the Nuggets, Charles Barkley is annoyed with Coach Malone and we're reminiscing on that awesome call by Kevin Harlan when Murray drained the half court shot. When it comes to the Avalanche, what options do they have to remove Nichushkin from the squad? 

Wow, what a turnaround for the Nuggets as they get two dominate wins on the road in Minnesota. What was different in these last two games compared to the first two? And how about tonight? Is this a must win for the Avalanche? What’s our confidence level after they blew an opportunity to win at home?

Jamal Murray has made a miraculous comeback after a poor playoff performance thus far. We hear from him on how he’s done it along with a couple of theories from Stink. Aaron Gordon gets the ultimate endorsement from Stink and Stephen A. issues an apology to the Nuggets. Finally, Bo Nix tells us how excited he is to have Sean Payton for a coach.

Have the Nuggets answered all their haters? We take a trip around the media to hear all the smack talk and apologies after everyone thought they’d be swept. Have they made it past the toughest part of their playoff run? And how about the Avs- what’s our faith in them at this point?
