An estimated 2.7 million children reside in households where grandparents are the primary caregivers being called “grandfamiles” or “kinship families.” Grandparents, family, friends, if you provided care for a child age five or under in Colorado, you could qualify for the new care worker tax credit – up to $1,200 filing single or $2,400 filing joint.
