Episode Description

Recent data from the CDC shows that Utah has the highest rates of nonfatal drug overdoses in the United States. Salt Lake Harm Reduction Project (SHRP) is trying to make naloxone more readily available for Utahns, all in the hopes of reducing this unsettling trend.

Executive Director of SHPR MacKenzie Bray spoke to Maria Shilaos about efforts to bring opioid overdoses down.

International Overdose Awareness Day is on Sunday, August 31st.
