Episode Description

After serving 15 years for his role in the disappearance and murder of Spanish Fork teen Kiplyn Davis, Timmy Brent Olsen is being released from prison today. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter in 2011, saying he didn't kill Kiplyn in 1995 but saw someone else do it and helped move the body. After more than 30 years since the 15-year-old's disappearance, Olsen has never said who he helped or where they moved her body. And to this day, Kiplyn's family still does not have closure.

In this Deep Dive: Justice for Kiplyn, Maria Shilaos goes in-depth on the story of Kiplyn. KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas joins to share insights into Olsen's plea deal and how 'double jeopardy' will keep him from seeing any other prosecution. One of Kiplyn's friends joins Maria to share memories of Kiplyn and how not knowing what happened to her has affected the Davis family after all these years. Rhonda Dequier of the Missing in America Network also shares her thoughts on labelling missing teens as 'runaways' and how that can affect the investigation.
