Phoenix will celebrate Fourth of July with 2 fireworks shows, 1 drone show

Cue the red, white and blue: Phoenix is launching its Independence Day celebrations this weekend with After Dark in the Park, the first of three free city events.

Unlike the city’s other two holiday celebrations, this one trades fireworks for a high-tech drone light show. Phoenix recreation coordinator Noreena Ortega says it’s an innovative way to bring the community together and celebrate without the smoke and noise of traditional fireworks.
