A new bill could require Arizona students in grades K-12 to participate in firearm safety instruction each school year.

Senate Bill 1424 is sponsored by Arizona Senators Wendy Rogers (R) and Mark Finchem (R). 
It would require public and charter schools to teach students about accident prevention and safety involving guns yearly, focusing on safe gun storage, what to do if a student finds a gun and risks associated with handling guns.
