Utah Cracks Down on Illegal Massage Parlors and Human Trafficking

Utah officials are stepping up efforts to shut down illegal massage parlors as a new state law aims to address human trafficking and unlicensed operations. With an estimated 195 unlawful massage businesses operating statewide, more than the number of McDonald’s locations, regulators say the problem is larger than many realize. Executive Director of The Department of Commerce, Margaret Busse, joins the show to lay out the problem and what the new law in Utah does.
