Utah County prosecutors take the death penalty off the table for Douglas Carter's retrial

In a pretty large development, Utah County prosecutors say they no longer intend to seek the death penalty in the murder case against Douglas Carter. Carter was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of Eva Olesen back in 1985. Since then, his conviction has been overturned twice, most recently in 2022 due to police and prosecutor misconduct. KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas breaks down what this development means.
