Jesse Keller Taggart is accused of shooting Ken Dudley during a protest in 2020. Taggart faces attempted aggravated murder and assault charges. The defense had previously filed to dismiss the case, saying police had failed to collect complete evidence, but that motion was dismissed. The trial began this morning with jury selection.
