Timpanogos School District board votes in favor of school closure study 

One of the districts that will come from the dissolution of the Alpine School District next year will move ahead with studies of 13 schools, as the newly-formed Timpanogos District mulls potential school closures. 3 junior high schools and 10 elementary schools will be studied, with final closure decisions expected later this year. The school board voted in favor of the studies last night, but it didn't come without concerns from parents and community members.
